There are hundreds of diets out there. Everyone that promotes them swears by them. So, which one is best? What diet will enable you to finally have the clear skin you have been dreaming of for so many years? Well, there is not really a straight up answer.
But, there certainly is a diet that helped create your acne and is now probably preventing you from having clear skin. If you live in the US and the surrounding countries then you are most likely consuming the deadly western diet which is a major reason why we have so many diseases including acne.
What Is The Western Diet?
Processed food. Conventionally raised beef. Beef that is produced from cows that are injected with hormones and antibiotics, fed on grain, and more. This allows for unhealthy meat. The western diet consists of fast food. Food that is fried with deadly vegetable oils and heated at high temps causing the food to become rancid and detrimental to your health.
Processed food contains additives, preservatives, and added sugar. It is what large food companies thrive on. They do all the work so you can just pop a meal in the microwave for a few minutes and enjoy it in front of the TV. Attractive, right? They are in it for the money, not your health.
Sure, its convenient. But, is acne convenient? What about heart disease, cancer, diabetes, or obesity? No. It is not.
How Does The Western Diet Cause Acne?
Hormonal imbalances, rapid blood sugar fluctuations, liver dysfunction, toxic buildup, and so much more are all part of the acne equation. The western diet causes all of these and so much more. Being on the western diet also prevents you from eating wholesome foods such as vegetables and fruits. Thus, you are not feeding your skin essential nutrients that it begs for on a daily basis. Silicon, zinc, iron, vitamin A, C, and E are just a few of the vitamins and minerals that help promote clear skin.
The western diet is leading to an obesity epidemic. This prevents you from engaging in physical activity. Exercise helps promote clear skin in many ways. Obesity also increases your risk for insomnia. Sleep is one of the most overlooked elements of health, yet possibly the most important.
